Hello everybody. I know it's been awhile since I updated this site. Sorry! I guess there hasn't been a lot to tell you about. I'm still livin' here in beeeyooteefull Austin Tx. I'm still crankin' out pizzas at Marye's Gourmet Pizza. Still writing tons and tons of songs. Still painting lovely paintings. I'm actually a kind of renaissance man. I have underachieved in a staggering number of different pursuits. But that is about to change. Because, this very second, I have amazing news to relate to you.
First of all, Livin' The Dream (the Scott Reynolds compilation CD that's been in the works for like a million years) is due to come out in May or June. It's a 22 song extravaganza of stuff I've recorded over the last decade or so. Plus, there are three brand new Pavers' songs on it. I'm really frickin' excited because all the proceeds from its release will go to The Scott Reynolds Art and Music Fund. Which is a a charity I started that buys musical equipment and art supplies for struggling red-headed fathers of two who used to live in Fredonia NY but now live in Austin Tx. where they make Pizza. Its an extremely worthwhile cause, and I’m proud to be involved. So won’t you please help us help them by purchasing a copy (or two) of Livin’ The Dream?
Lets see, what else? Oh yeah! I’m recording tunes with my friend Stephen Egerton (super picker and song builder from The Descendents and ALL.) Our band is called 40Engine and we are so good that you will shit right in your pants when you hear us. Was that too crude? Let me rephrase. We are so good that you will barely make it to the toilet where you will shit (a lot) when you hear us. Not sure when this CD will be finished, or who will put it out. But we are cruisiing right along and I think we’ll have it “in the bag” before too long. I promise to keep you posted.
The Scott Reynolds and the Steaming Beast record is finally fully recorded. It’s called Adventure Boy and is so unbelievably great that I dreamed Paul McCartney heard it and told me it was everything he’d hoped Seargent Peppers would be. Then he asked me for my autograph and offered me his knighthood. Once again, I’m not sure when or with whom its going to be released, but I’ll know very very soon, and then I’ll probably become super famous. Which will be nice.
There are even more extraordinary things in the works, but I think you’ve had enough excitement for one sitting. I’ll let you digest what you’ve just read for a few days or so, and then I’ll be back with an update so titillating it will make you accutely aware of your nipples. So come back soon! ............... Scott

New song, new recordings, and new shoes!!!
Hey all you millions of screaming, frenzied, ravenous, deprived, sad, angry, overtly hostile, underfed, malnourished, heartsick, clever, discerning, high powered, attractive, gorgeous, sexually potent, magnificent, Scott Reynolds fans! How the hell are you?! It's been a while! Me, I've been superfuckinawesomelykickass! Do you like my new killer site? Pretty cool, right? It's not done yet, but its getting there. So please keep coming back. Lots to tell you about so let's get started. Let's see. Where should I start? Well, first off, me and a guy I used to know named Stephen Egerton just made a cool-ass recording of a song called Sunny Disposition. We put it up on myspace for you guys. So give it a listen when you get a minute, and let me know what you think. Stephen, as you probably know, is the very great very bald guitar player from such bands as the Descendents, and ALL. We're working on a record together when our extremely busy schedules permit. So keep your collective eye peeled for us. We'll finish it as quickly as we can. Then we'll sell it. You'll buy it. We'll get rich beyond our wildest dreams. I'll get caught speeding drunk, I'll make a pejorative remark about Jewish people, and BANG! just like that, I'll be back to making pizza. Well, that might be a bit unoriginal, but I'll fuck it up somehow. And it will be spectacular! So do yourself a favor. Make me rich so you can watch me crumble. I promise I'll make it worth your while. Okay? Cool! Thanks!
Let's see, what else? I went back to NY at the beginning of July to record more stuff for the Scott Reynolds and the Steaming Beast record. In case you don't what that's all about I'll tell you. It's a collection some of my new songs recorded by some of my friends and produced by my pal and wickedkiller superproducer Dave Fridmann at his state of the art recording facility Tarbox Road Recording Studio. Before this last trip home we had four songs in the bag. They were recorded by Dave, me, and Steven Drozd instrumental superwizard from the diabolically creative and balloon obsessed Flaming Lips. This time back it was Dave and me, and some Pavers peeps, and a Bonesaw guy, and a Bleed for Me dude, and even Drag the River backed me up on a tune. Got six more songs done and they came out way way way excellent. You're gonna dig 'em when you hear 'em. When will that be? Good question. I guess as soon as I figure out which giant mega record consortium will give me the most money. But I'm getting impatient so I'll probably end up doing something stupid with it, like sell it on a website or something. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, there is one song up on the myspace site (second song down - "Jesus, Satan, Gene.....") So give it the once over and come tell me that you really like it.
The next thing to watch for is CD called Scott Reynolds - Livin' the Dream. It's a collection of 19 remastered Scott songs that I wrote for both Goodbye Harry, and The Pavers. Plus three brand new tunes. My buddy Aston will be carrying it on Boss Tuneage across the pond and I'll probably just sell it my own self here in the U.S. It's a real cool cd so please check back semi-regularly. And don't forget to buy your copy of the Bonesaw Romance CD for sale now!! Go to my stuff section and buy it. Right now, goddamn it!! And while you're there pick yourself up a pair of limited edition Scott Reynolds Vanns! They're mighty comfy, and deadly stylish. "Scott Reynold's Vann's they certainly are shoes!"
Well, that's about it for now. Thanks for checking in. I'll be updating pretty regularly now because I've got stuff in the works. And I'll be blogging a bit on my pompous ass blog pretty damn soon. Plus, the site will be getting bigger, and cooler all the time. Promise!! So please come back again soon. Incidentally, it's Dave's wife and my true bluest friend, Mary Fridmann, who is putting this awesome new website together for me! So yay for Mary! And yay for me for befriending such kickass people! You should check out Mary's awesome rants on her site. She says a lot of my most favorite shit. So do yourself a favor. Go there and do some reading!
Anyway, talk to you soon. ................... Scott

HEY EVERYBODY! I NEED YOUR HELP!!
Hey you guys. As you may or may not have heard, I'm in a new superfrickinkickass band called The Bonesaw Romance (myspace.com/bonesawromance) and we're in the process of putting out our first record. It's all recorded and the master and artwork have gone to my buddy Aston (the winsome english fellow who's putting it out.) So it will be available pretty frickin' soon. And, though it's precise release date is still a little fuzzy, I'm trying to put together a tour so you can come check us out and buy a copy or twelve as soon as it's available. Here's the plan: Two of the Bonesaw players are in another band called Bleed For Me (bleedforme.com,) which is very serendipitous for a couple reasons. First; because they rock big. And second; because they have a van!! That's right! They have a van, and I have a trailer!! You getting the picture?!! Hell yes you are! With the overlap in personnel, both bands put togther amount to just six people. Six people in a van with a trailer for equipment equals luxury. Hell yes it does!! So you gotta help me find some shows. If you think you want us to come to your town, and think you know a place to play, tell me about it. If you have a band and you think you can hook us up, and wanna play too, all the better. The more the merrier! No suggestion is too silly. I'm interested in anything you can think of. I'm hoping to get started at the end of August. We're playing over at Stephen Egerton's place in Tulsa around August 25th I think. I want to make that show a part of the tour. Incidently, Stephen and I are going to be doing some recording in the very near future and will hopefully be playing a set at that show. But I digress. The point is, I need your help to make this tour work out. So let me know if you have any ideas. Thanx big!!
Oh yeah! All you people from places that aren't the USA, I want to hear from you as well. Because you're next! I want to start collecting your information now. Any cool venues, or booking agents, or whatever. Send it over!! Now goddamnit! Because after the U.S. I'm headed your way!!
Well I guess that's it. Keep kickin' ass! XXOO ............... Scott

Hey everybody! Scott Reynolds here! This is my website......well.....what we've gotten done so far anyway. My friend Mary and I are going to be putting this site together in bits and pieces as we learn how to do it. For now, since something is almost always better than nothing, we decided to give you what we've got. So lets get started! ..........Oh yeah! If you don't feel like reading all the words on this page (Can't blame you for that. No sir, can't blame you at all!) please do me a favor and at least read the last paragraph. I promise I'll keep it short. Thanx.
First, a little about the myself. I used to sing and write songs for a band called ALL. We made some very cool records and did an assload of touring back in the late 80s and early 90s. For more info on that band and my part in it, you can visit their website (allcentral.com) or wait for me to come up with a more extensive bio. Anyway, eventually went our separate ways. After I left, they continued to make super awesome music with a new singer while I kept on recording and touring my own self.
In 1993 I started a band called Goodbye Harry and we made two records. The first was the groundbreaking tribute to hard luck, Foodstamp BBQ. And the second was a brobdingnagian opus called I Can Smoke; which garnered innumerable awards and enjoyed universal critical acclaim among the many beautiful savvy intellectuals that populate my imagination. Both of these records were recorded for Greg Ginn (legendary guitar player for Black Flag/ Gone/ & a shitload of other kickass rock outfits) and his Long Beach based Label CRUZ Records. Those records are still available through CRUZ/SST.
After Goodbye Harry went the way of the Mastodon I found myself back in Buffalo NY playing in a band called The Pavers. This band recorded two full length LPs, and four EPs including a CD split with a great Japanese band called NOSHOW. The first full length CD was recorded in 1999 and was produced by Bill Stevenson and Stephen Egerton (my old bandmates from ALL) at their recording studio The Blasting Room. It came out on Owned and Operated Records (Mr. Stevenson's label.) The second (and final?) LP was released in 2002, and was called Return to the Island of No Return. In Europe, it came out on Boss Tuneage. And in the U.S. Ratchet Records did their best to bury it. Ratchet Records is a label run by this aggrovatingly irresponsible (albeit undeniably handsome) little prick I like to call me. Which is why you can't find this CD anywhere. Well... that's not exactly true. I'll explain more later. As for the rest of the Pavers catalogue, I'm not up to typing about it all right now. Its getting pretty frickin' late and I've got some more ground to cover before I sleep. I'll fill you in when we get the site more together.
That brings us up to now. Currently, I'm working on three records. One of which is 99.999% ready to go. Another which is about 62.3% complete. And the last which has quite a ways to go. The first is by a monstrous rock combo I'm in called The Bonesaw Romance (yeah, I know about the other bands with romance in their names. An unhappy coincidence and nothing more I assure you.) Our first record is self titled and will be out super soon on Ratchet/Boss Tuneage. We plan to hit the road on a mega-tour shortly after its release. So keep coming back to find out the whens and wheres. The second release I'm working on will be called Scott Reynolds - Livin' The Dream 1994 to 2004. Its a 22 song encapsulation of what I've been up to since I left that band that wasn't the Descendents all those years ago. It's completely mixed and mastered and will have some cool new material along with all the older stuff. I'll tell you more about it later, as the release date gets closer. The last recording I need to tell you about is Scott Reynolds and the Steaming Beast. This will consist of me and some of my various musician friends recording some of the tunes I've written over the years. My friend Dave Fridmann (super producer guy for bands like the Flaming Lips, Sleater Kinney, Mogwai etc.) has been kind enough to lend his talents and studio to this project. So far, we have recorded four songs. Steven Drozd from the Flaming Lips has played on all four and they sound fucking awesome. Also, I've enlisted the aid of Drag The River for one of my country-type tunes. And next month I'll be going out to Tulsa to do some recording with my old friend Stephen Egerton (ALL/Descendents.) Plus I'm headed back to Dave's place to do some more recording with him in June. So everything is cooking, and I'm getting very very excited.
So this is the last paragraph. What I wanted to tell you is that I'm aware that there are a lot of you who have not heard any of my stuff since I left ALL. I guess I never really understood how few people had heard any of my postALL releases until I started receiving your messages on myspace. I would dearly like to remedy that situation. I currently have in my possession several boxes of both Pavers full length CDs. The first - Local 1500 - was, as I said before, produced by Bill and Stephen from ALL. And the second - Return to the Island of No Return- was produced by the Pavers. I also have lots of copies of the Pavers EP, Taco or Tambourine. Right now we're trying to figure out how to do the PayPal thing so we can start selling merchandise properly. I hope we can make that happen soon. In the meantime, I've enlisted the aid of an organized third party to handle your orders. So, if you don't want to wait till I learn how to do PayPal, contact me at bonesaw@scottreynoldsmusic.com or through my myspace site and we'll work something out. These Pavers records are really cool, and I think that if you like what I do you will really enjoy them. I promise it will be $10 (or $20 for all three) well spent! Oh yeah! I also have some totally kickass picture discs! If there are any collectors who are into that kind of thing out there just let me know. I'll post a picture soon. They're really cool!
Lastly, please do me a favor. Go to my wife Melissa's myspace, befriend her, click on her blog, and give her shit about her disgusting old cat. The sicker, the better! You can find her in my top 8. She's the lady with pigtails who calls herself Melissa R. Remember! GO TO HER MYSPACE, CLICK ON HER BLOG AND RANK ON HER PIECE 'O' SHIT CAT! THE SICKER, THE BETTER!! Thanx ............. Scott
